Custom Spray Tan Artist
Yet another way I get to make people feel better - I am a Certified Custom Spray Tan Artist.
Clients arrive at my Avon Lake spray tan studio as a beautiful canvas for me to 'paint', and leave feeling even more 'sassy' and confident. Yes, that's right, 100% of clients arrive beautiful. Short, tall, young, mature, Wonder bread white, fish-belly white, curvy, extra curvy, mommy bellies, mommy boobies, cellulite, scar tissue....you get the point... you are ALL beautiful. In the event you have not heard how lovely you are lately, you will hear that truth spoken while you are in my studio.
The product I use is botannical-based (Vitamin E, Aloe Ginseng, and Rosemary). My friend and local award-winning entrepreneur, Karen Ryan, developed and launched Tan with Kare with a mission of offering a safe alternative to tanning beds and protecting people from skin cancer. She has grown the business to include 50+ independent Certified Tanners nationwide.
As a Representative of Tan With Kare, I am thrilled to say we were recognized by Fox 8's Hot List as placing in the Top 5 in Best Tanning category, 2009, in the Cleveland/Akron/ Canton market. Since this category includes tanning beds and custom spray tanning, it is significant to note that we actually placed #1 in Custom Spray Tanning.
So, here's the scoop ...
I schedule custom spray tan clients by appointment 7 days a week. I can be reached in my Avon Lake spray tan studio at 440.212.1639.
Pre-Tan Instructions: please arrive at tanning studio freshly shaved and exfoliated. Important ... NO products of any sort on body including lotion, deoderant, make-up, etc. Wear or bring loose fitting clothing to wear home.
Ladies can choose to wear: nothing, thong, bathing suit (one or two piece), shorts, etc.
Men required to wear some sort of underwear/bathing suit/boxer.
I take great care in ensuring you feel comfortable throughout the process. I love seeing clients transition from feeling self-conscious about the process to feeling confident with a tan.
I will communicate with you throughout the tanning process, having you move through various 'poses' so I can provide you with an even tan and reach all the areas that a 'spray tan booth' cannot reach. When the custom spray tan is complete, you will then dry in front of a 3-tier tower fan for 6 minutes.
Process complete! You are then free to dress.
Cost is $25. Cash or checks accepted. Ask about package specials when you book your appointment!

Post-Care Instructions:
It is important to stay dry for a minimum of 6 hours after tanning. During this time you custom spray tan is 'setting/developing'. So, no exercise involving sweating, showers, hands immersed in water, etc. After your tan has developed you are free to shower. You will notice the external layer running off in the shower water. Protect the longevity of your tan by not scrubbing your skin in the shower. When you towel dry, pat your skin versus rubbing. Apply a gentle, perfume-free lotion generously throughout the life of tan. You can expect your tan to last 1 to 2 weeks.
